Jazz88 KBEM Underwriting/Corporate Sponsorship Representative

Jazz88 KBEM 88.5 FM, the Twin Cities Voice for Jazz and Education, invites interested applicants for the position of Underwriting Representative to become a part of our development team.

Primary responsibility includes securing financial support for Jazz88 Radio programs, special events, challenge grants and local program production.

The Underwriting Rep will develop and maintain sales accounts, including targeting markets, initiating sales calls, sales appointments, presentations, prospecting, proposals and closing the sales. This is an independent contract position without benefits.

At a minimum you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in direct (non-retail) sales (2 years must be in media sales or in public broadcasting media sales.)
  • Strong communication skills in diplomacy, negotiating, writing correspondence, and oral presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of public broadcasting.
